Candy Rush – Valentine’s Day Crypto Slot Game
We recently reviewed another title in IGTech’s Candy Rush game series, with Candy Rush Summer Time an excellent slot that is more than worth checking out. When Candy Rush Valentine’s Day landed on our desk, it made us happy because immediately we’re expecting IGT to hit all the high notes again, in what is another slot game taking inspiration from an important event on the calendar.
At this point, we always drill down into the details, as it’s crucial to convey what type of slot we have on our hands ahead of checking out theme, design, features, and so on. It’s uncommon for a developer to move away from a style mid-game series, and IGT sticks with their five-reel, three-row and twenty payline formation.
It’s the standard setup in the industry, yes. But as a development team, IGT knows what works. And, as we always say, it’s what happens on the reels in terms of features and bonuses and how everything appears visually that will decide whether a slot game is worth playing.
Design & Theme
The game’s title is Candy Rush Valentine’s Day, and if anyone reading our review played the Summertime version in the series, they would have an idea of what to expect. Valentine’s Day is all about love and romance, which makes up for part of the theme and design. You could say it fits as chocolate is a gift many give and receive on February 15th, so bringing “candy” into the equation makes a lot of sense. IGT strikes a balance as there is an equal push on both parts of the theme in terms of the backdrop and symbols. Royal icons operate in their traditional supporting role.
We review loads of IGT titles, and we must say we’re a fan of their games that have three unique icons instead of the traditional two. The gingerbread man wild returns in this one, replacing every symbol on the reels unless it’s a scatter or bonus icon. The scatter is the route in for punters if they want to enjoy some free spins, but they will need three in view at the same time for this to happen. The bonus icon is a tasty looking cupcake, and three can be worth up to 9,000 points, which is nothing to be sniffed at.
If a punter gets three or more scatters in view on the reels simultaneously, they can bag up to twenty free spins, which can produce some excellent prizes.
The base game symbol to keep an eye out for is the heart-shaped candy covered in hundreds and thousands. It will pay 450 coins when four appear across a payline. The red star candy is the second-highest payer.
Combinations in Candy Rush Valentine’s Day pay from left to right in this IGT release. However, scatters will pay in all positions and directions.
IGT make the turbo spin function available in Candy Rush Valentine’s Day. It’s a feature many punters can access in IGT titles.
