Tomb of Nefertiti Slot Demo

Once again, we’re taking a trip back in time to Ancient Egypt to spin reels in search of treasure in the Tomb of Nefertiti, a slot by NoLimit City.

This slot was released back in 2019, and even then, the graphics had a kind of retro vibe. This was probably a deliberate decision on the part of the creative team, as NoLimit City has proven itself more than capable of producing slick, modern designs. The result is a game with a distinctly land-based slot feel, even down to the numbered paylines around the grid. 

Thankfully, the 5×3 grid itself is set somewhere in the ruins of a temple rather than the dark and dingy tomb itself. The tomb of Nefarati actually exists, by the way, and its occupant was once the Queen of Egypt. She was also reputed to be the most beautiful woman in the land, although given her power of life and death over her subjects, we’re not sure how factually accurate this information is. 

But back to the game, the grid is surrounded by pillars which march off into the distance. The sky looks about to burst, and gusts of wind send sand swirling across the screen.

The symbols feature all the old favourites of the genre, with Egyptianised 10 – A card ranks as the low-paying symbols and pots, cats, scarabs, Anubis, and Horus as the premiums. Wins are formed by landing at least three matching symbols on one of the 20 paylines, and the maximum possible line win is 25x the stake for a combination of 5 of the Horus symbol. 

There is also a female explorer who could give Neferati a run for her money in the looks department acting as the wild. She’ll stand in for regular symbols to help form line wins and has other abilities as well. 

Game Features

Whenever a win hits the symbols involved respin for another chance at hitting a combo. During the respins, any wilds or bonus symbols on the grid stick in place. Re-spins are limited to two in the base game and award multipliers of x2 and x3, respectively.

The first of the two random base game bonuses is the Wild Raider which can trigger on any spin. When this happens, up to 9 wilds can land in the middle three reels, which glow red.

The second random bonus is Nefertiti’s Curse. This one sees the middle three reels all displaying the same symbol, which can be any of the regular symbols and even the wild, but not the bonus symbol.

The scatter can land anywhere on the grid, and 3 of them in view trigger 10 Raider Spins. For the bonus round, the number of paylines doubles from 20 to 40, and the Wild Raider feature is active, dropping from 1-9 wilds onto the grid with every spin. Another plus is that there is now no limit to the number of respins that follow a win, and the multiplier increases by +1 with each, also without limit.
