Like all of the early Megaways slots, Starquest is built using a 6-reel format. The number of symbols on the reels varies on each spin. There can be a minimum of two symbols, and a maximum of seven. As the number of symbols change, so does the number of win-ways. If seven symbols land on each reel, the number of win-ways is a whopping 117,649 ways to win!

Wins in Starquest are formed by matching a 3-of-a-kind or higher combo from both left-to-right and right-to-left. This means it’s a “both-ways-pay” game. The low-value symbols are playing card values, including 9, 10, jack, queen, king, and ace, while the higher-paying ones are BTG’s classic gems.

These are colored in green, blue, red, and purple. The wild symbol is the stacked girl – although she only appears on reels two, three, four, and five.

Bonus Features

Starquest is a popular game with many players; however, those who don’t like it usually state the lack of a main bonus round as their primary reason for disliking the game. However, there is some bonus action – it’s just a bit different to what you may be used to.

If you manage to land one of the stacked wild symbols anywhere in view, it will lock in place. You will then be awarded a free re-spin, and the multiplier of that wild will increase by +1. If another stacked wild lands in view, that new wild will also lock in place – and an additional re-spin will be awarded. The multiplier on both of these wilds once again increases by +1.

This process continues until you fail to hit a new stacked wild, or until you land all four of the wilds. If you manage to achieve the latter, you’re guaranteed a monster payout – which will almost always be worth a minimum of 1,000X your stake!
