Haunted House was played on a 5-reel set, and there were three symbols on each reel. However, the game was pretty complex just to look at – and figuring out what on earth was going on was enough to give some players a headache!

The minimum bet was 0.20 credits, and it appears as though the maximum bet was 20 credits. Despite attempting to build a scary, eerie theme into the slot, this was, we think it’s fair to say, a pretty big fail on BTG’s part.

Bonus Features

Despite the classic, retro look of Haunted House, there were actually three bonuses and features in the game. The first was called the Haunted House Scatter Symbols. These scatter symbols were represented by the haunted houses.

If you managed to land three of these scatter symbols anywhere in view, you will trigger the Haunted House feature – a “pick me bonus” where you could win small cash prizes.

The second bonus was one you may be more familiar with; the Trail Bonus. Like a classic pub fruit machine, on the left-hand-side of the screen there was a trail.

You would work your way up this trail, earning rewards and perks along the way. It operated in a near-identical manner to a fruit machine – but as we’ve seen time and time again, this type of format rarely works in the online gambling world.

Finally, there was the Full Moon Money Trail Bonus. This was where the game’s biggest wins came from – although even then, they weren’t worth much, and there was just way too much luck involved for players to really get excited about anything.
