DogeCoin Tops The List Of Crypto Searches In The United States

Doge Coin (DOGE) has emerged as the leading search engine terms, especially among those interested in knowing more on crypto in the U.S.

This meme coin began the year on a slightly slow footing, worth a minimal $0.07 the moment Reddit retail traders, along with the endorsement of Tesla billionaire boss Elon Musk sent the value of the coin briefly to $0.70. By the time of writing, it had further dropped down to $0.24, but this hasn’t discouraged investors huge appetite for the coin.

“The rise in interest can be partially attributed to the endorsement of Elon Musk who stated earlier in the year that Tesla would accept dogecoin as a form of payment,” said a note from The Advisor Coach who offered to explain the popularity of DOGE.

Bitcoin (BTC) remains a top searched currency in Google and in 10 states across the U.S. The remaining ones seem to be swinging towards the direction of DOGE.

Even with the currency recording a drop of $0.24, which is still an impressive 5,000% increase since the year began-, by the time of writing, the market cap was standing at $30bn. Now, the total market capitalization for cryptocurrencies is well above $3 trillion in terms of valuation, or in short, up to $500bn since the year began.

With DOGE remaining at the forefront among its “meme” peers, interestingly, some new ones that have been on the lips of many people. Shiba Inu and Floki, for instance are 2 new ones that haven’t gain desired traction with big investors, but they still might very soon.

But unlike DOGE, governments all over seem to be assuming a slightly more aggressive approach, with some issuing bans on Floki ads in public spaces, for example.

Shiba Inu recently reported that they managed to mark a 17,300,000% increase in the last 15 months with DeFi space managing to grow to $250bn total worth of its assets.
