Book of Gods is a video slot from Big Time Gaming – the Australian game developer who became famous for developing the Megaways mechanic. This game, however, steps away from the Megaways format, taking on a more conventional format.

Book of Gods is built around a 5-reel, 4-row format. There are no paylines, as it’s a “ways-to-win” game. This means wins are formed by matching a 2-of-a-kind, 3-of-a-kind or 4-of-a-kind from left-to-right. The position of the symbols doesn’t matter.

If you manage to land a winning combination of symbols with the symbol that currently appears in the book, the entire reel where those symbols landed will transform – and the whole reel will be covered in that one symbol. The next bonus is the core of the game – the free spins feature. This is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Doing so will award you with 15, 20, or 25 free spins respectively. Before the free spins begin, one of the higher-paying God symbols is randomly chosen. This chosen symbol remains “special” for the duration of the free spins bonus round.

If, during the bonus round, you form any wins with that symbol, the transforming feature is triggered. This expands the symbol to cover the entire reel – and you are then paid our accordingly. Essentially, it’s like Book of Dead – although there’s 243-ways-to-win instead of 10 paylines.
